Organising activities to establish interaction and conviviality in public spaces (citywide and at the neighbourhood scale)
It is aimed to bring together our youth working in the city center and in the countryside, to get acquainted with the rural life of the young people living in the center, to contribute voluntarily to the collection of farmer’s products, to paint and minor renovations of village schools, and to carry out educational and social activities for our children in the village and their families.

Within the scope of the project, renovations, paint-whitewashing and workshops were carried out in schools in Ödemiş, Kemalpaşa, Kiraz districts.

Within the scope of the Trace in the Village Project, a camp will be held in the village with 80 young people in Kozak plateau for 2 days and in Çamavlu village of Bergama for 5 days together with the Association for Supporting Contemporary Life in June.
It is a social project center called Mercek (Lens), which aims to develop solutions for the needs of citizens residing in the region, to organize educational and socio-cultural activities, and to carry out psycho-social counseling services in cooperation with the relevant departments and directorates of the Metropolitan Municipality.

Key Women’s Studies Holistic Service Center was established on 7 June 2021 to provide supportive services for women.
BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Center aims to ensure that women benefit from urban services equally, to provide psychological, legal and social service consultancy services, to increase women’s participation in social and cultural life, to support their development in artistic and sports fields, to ensure women’s existence and empowerment in the field of employment, and produces goals that are appropriate for its purpose. In the center, many services such as consultancy services, vocational courses, cooperatives, employment and entrepreneurship training, sports and cultural activities are gathered under one roof and women are provided with easy access to these services. While providing legal, psychological and psycho-social consultancy services, trainings aiming at gender equality, women’s health, human rights, civil rights, protective preventive measures and deterrent sanctions in the fight against violence, discrimination, etc. personal development are provided. Sports activities such as yoga and pilates, informatics, food, textile, health, etc., which will support their physical and mental strengthening, courses were opened for women’s employment. they benefit from. In addition, in order to support the increase in women’s employment, the Vocational Factory unit in the Campus conducts employment-oriented vocational and technical courses.
Building solidarity networks
Social service centers have been opened in ten regions in order to make social work activities accessible and sustainable. These social service centers are named Bizİzmir Solidarity Point. A fixed social worker has been assigned here. The services we carry out at these points are accepting applications for social assistance, conducting direct on-site social investigations, accepting applications for all social service activities, including services for milk lamb, the elderly and the disabled, and distribution of hot meals made by our soup kitchen. Meals are distributed for 10 thousand people daily at these points. At the same time, an average of 20-25 different applications are received.
Bizİzmir Clothing Point, on the other hand, has been opened so that our citizens in need can come to this point and benefit from our clothing assistence free of charge.

BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROJECT
In 2021, temporary accommodation was provided to 82 male students in Buca Male Student Dormitory, 33 female students in Örnekköy Guesthouse, and 12 students in contracted hotels in order to deal with the accommodation problem of newly admitted students. Scholarship support was provided to 48 students through donors. 16 students were placed in Uzundere housing estates, 7 students in Bornova dormitories, and 45 female and 29 male students in dormitories in Buca under contract with İZSİAD. Social studies of all remaining students were carried out by the psychosocial team.
Establishing mechanisms for social assistance to support disadvantaged groups
In our Müyesser Turfan Temporary Male Guest House, our male homeless citizens between the ages of 18-59 are provided with temporary accommodation. After their health checks are made, their needs such as food, shelter, personal care and clothing are met. Apart from accommodation, food, personal care and hygiene services, psychological support services are also provided to our citizens we host. Bath and hairdresser services are provided in the presence of our staff in the bath house, in which an agreement has been reached in the Basmane region with the service procurement method for our homeless citizens. New clothes are provided to our citizens, who are bathed and shaved, and a suitable environment in terms of hygiene and cleaning is provided.

Boots, coats and stationery assistance (education card) are provided to our children in line with the lists of primary and secondary school students’ families in need. We also contribute to the shopkeepers of the city by ensuring that the materials to be used in the production of boots and coats, which we purchase from the İzmir Vocational Training Center, are supplied from our shopkeepers in İzmir. Likewise, for our education card assistance, we also provide support to the stationery shopkeepers in our province, with the protocol signed with the Chambers of Commerce under the leadership of the İzmir Chamber of Stationery and the İzmir Chamber of Commerce.

Based on the vision of “Social Municipality”, the “Welcome Baby Set” was created in order to contribute to the needs of families with babies aged 0-3 months.

Within the scope of the project, the families were provided with a baby bag, a set of top and bottom pants with gloves, a hat, a blanket, a nursing apron, a bath towel, a set of 1 Million Books written by Prof. Dr. Selçuk Şirin (My First Book, Apple, Ay Dede, Good Morning, Colorful Lullabies, Welcome) and a certificate of sapling planted in the name of the newborn baby were given. The Welcome Baby Set Project is being carried out in 30 districts of İzmir simultaneously, and bags have been delivered to 18,385 families since the start of the project. Within the scope of the project, 18,385 saplings were planted.
It is the center that aims to eliminate violence against women along with its causes, and to protect, support and empower women from all social segments living in İzmir.
BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROJECT
It aims to provide legal, psychological and social counseling services and solidarity to women who are exposed to physical, sexual, psychological and economic violence, social and political exclusion and all kinds of discrimination, and to carry out awareness activities as widely as possible for the elimination of violence against women.
In order to contribute to the education processes of young people between the ages of 17-20 who have socioeconomic difficulties, who are preparing for the university exam, students in need are provided with access to auxiliary resources that are in preparation for the university exam for the 2020-2021 education period.

The “book support card” project, which was initiated with the cooperation of Izmir Chamber of Book and Stationery Craftsmen in order to support the tradesmen in the provincial borders of Izmir, was launched in February 2021 and continued until June 2021. After examining the applications of 1000 students from 27 districts, a total of 81,125 TL was deposited from 125 TL to the cards of 649 students who were found eligible to receive book cards.

Establishing systems to encourage and coordinate volunteerism
A digital meeting point for youth has been created by creating the gencizmir.com site for our youth between the ages of 15-30.

With the series of focus meetings on the project work of the İzmir film platform 4 meetings were held with the academics of the cinema department of universities, the union of advertisers, directors and producers. In order to create a resilient culture and art environment, an İzmir cultural meeting was held with the participation of 140 people (artists, academics, NGOs). Within the scope of the support work for street artists, 2 meetings were held with street artists, NGOs and their groups. Within the scope of the UCLG Culture Summit, 6 online meetings were held to get their opinions, involve them in decision-making processes and inform them. As of the date of the Covid 19 pandemic in Turkey, 2 online meetings were held with NGOs, professional associations related to the creative industries, managers of culture and art institutions and artists regarding the scope of support activities in the field of culture and arts.

BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROJECT
In the RURITAGE Project, which aims to develop cultural and natural heritage potentials in rural areas in Dikili, Bergama and Kınık Districts, sustainable development and rural regeneration; There are 6 applicator cities and 14 role model cities under the main headings of “”Food in the Rural””, “”Arts and Festivals””, “”Migration””, “”Landscape”” and “”Faith Tourism””. There are 39 different international institutions in total in the project consortium.
With our RURITAGE Project studies, which we aim to establish the necessary protection and usage balance in order to carry the natural and historical heritage to the future in Kozak Plateau and its surroundings; It is aimed to determine the important geomorphological structure and geopark potentials of the region and to identify, support and develop business areas with high added value in agriculture, tourism and industry within the scope of the ‘geopark concept’ to be established in the region.

Living Parks is a park model in which rural/urban and natural/cultural structures and their potentials are expressed and experienced as a whole.
Living Parks are large-scale green spaces, where it is aimed to protect and promote the rural and natural areas in the peripheral regions of the city, connected to the city center by IzMiras routes.
Living Parks combines three land uses that are generally considered separately: ecosystem conservation, agricultural production, and recreational use.
PROJECT DURATION
By 2024, it is aimed to establish 35 Living Parks throughout İzmir.

BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROJECT
It is a cultural heritage education program developed for children to get to know the geography they live in with its history, culture and nature, and to carry their values to future generations.

The program, which can be applied to kindergarten, primary and secondary school age group children, is completed with ancient city tours after the workshop program in the classroom.

BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROJECT
In the 2300 Ancient Smyrna (İzmir) Agora, one of the largest in the city center worldwide, the Firewall Project, which ensures the safety and visibility of the excavation area, whose total area has been tripled with the expropriations, has been completed.
The civil architectural example known as the Sabbatai Sevi House, which is located within the excavation area and dated to the 17th century, has been re-functionalized as a museum and exhibition house in order to support touristic activities. An arrangement has been proposed to provide visitors with memories, documents and information flow in the building.
The Agora Entrance Structure, which was built to facilitate visitor access, consists of units such as security, ticket office, museum shop, and depository room, and has been detailed considering disabled access.

o The service building located in Konak District, Pazaryeri Mahallesi 946 Sokak No:1 (1550 lot 15 parcels), which is owned by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, has been allocated as an office.
o Equipment and expert personnel (1 architect, 1 city planner, 1 historian and 1 sociologist) were provided.
o Focus group meetings: 18 different groups were held and nearly 200 people attended the meetings.
o GZTF Workshop: More than 100 participants consisting of public institutions, universities, local governments, non-governmental organizations, tradesmen and field users took part.
o Site Management Plan: Current situation analyzes have been completed.
o Trainings: In addition to the employees of the Presidency of the Area, two different training programs were organized in order for the representatives of institutions in the field to gain knowledge and develop their expertise within the scope of the management plan and UNESCO candidacy.
o Visits to World Heritage Sites: Athens, Thessaloniki, Bursa and Cumalıkızık, Ephesus Ancient City and Bergama Multilayered Cultural Landscape Area, which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List, were visited.
o Social Media: The awareness of the field and the studies carried out was increased through regular posts on Instagram and Facebook social media channels.
o Promotional Films: Three films prepared for the purpose of promoting the field and its values were viewed close to 700 thousand times in total.
o Field Trips and Tours: Field trips were made to Kadifekale, Basmane, Kemeraltı and its surroundings with the participation of representatives of institutions and chambers and citizens.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has been carrying out excavation works, recording of the cultural assets in the inventory, conservation and restoration works under the supervision of the ministry within the provincial borders since 2012, within the framework of the protocol signed with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in Smyrna Agora, Foça-Phokaia, Çeşme – Erythrai, Bayraklı-Old Smyrna, Financial and in-kind support is given to the excavations of Yeşilhova Mound, Seferihisar-Teos, Menderes Klaros, Menemen-Panaztepe, Urla-Klozamenai, Urla-Liman Tepe, Kemalpaşa-Nif Mountain, Torbalı-Metropolis, Selçuk-Ayasuluk and Kemalpaşa-Ulucak Höyük.

A cultural route for sustainable development
BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Efeler Road, which is planned to reach the House of Virgin Mary, starting from the Belkahve location of Bornova, through Kemalpaşa, Bayındır, Ödemiş, Kiraz, Beydağ, Tire and Selçuk, connects 29 mountain villages by focusing on İzmir’s cultural heritage braveness(Efelik). Ancient trade routes dating back to the Lydian civilization, valleys, castles, monasteries and plateaus used by the Efes will accompany the natural tracks.
The road routing of 500 km has been completed and the marking works are continuing.
